A long term permanent resident of Japan, Bruce is a career executive search consultant with over 30 years’ experience in Japan and throughout Asia. His focus is on senior or highly specialized positions across all areas of finance services, insurance and professional services. In recent years his experience and expertise has broadened to include C-level assignments across various industries and he has also successfully completed important projects in the area of Government and Nonprofit organisations. He utilizes an extremely thorough and research driven approach to his work, drawing on a deep knowledge of local conditions as well as an extensive range of relationships enabling him to consistently provide high quality solutions in this sometimes difficult and complex recruitment environment.

Bruce has previously worked in Japan at a senior level with Russell Reynolds Associates, and was the Japan branch manager for Sheffield Haworth Ltd. For most of his career, however, he has run his own business. His own company was ranked as the overall #1 best executive search firm in Japan for Financial Services in the annual Asiamoney Headhunters’ Poll.

Bruce is a graduate of The City, London University and holds a BSc in Psychology.
